Principles that the Spanish Constitution recognizes as essential and necessary for the social and economic organization of the nation. They are included in Chapter III of Title I of said Constitution (Articles 39 to 52). Many of the guidelines and criteria established by these principles are related to Labor Law: the implementation of policies aimed at full employment, professional training and readaptation, and ensuring safety and hygiene in the workplace; guarantees for necessary work breaks, such as limitations on working hours and periodic paid vacations; and also the obligation of public authorities to maintain a public Social Security system.
